I used to have a pet Duck named 'Twik-Twik'

Lumaki sila. Tuwang tuwa ako kina Twik -Twik. Kaso nag-birthday ako. Sabi sakin kakatayin na daw sila. Kinatay nga nila at inihanda.

Nakakatuwa. :)

'..basta kumita lang.'

To complete the sentence:

Things in common:

Everything is a NO NO...

I found this site with very odd contents in contrast to its title..

Everything you read from this page is actually the opposite of what really should be done.

Dynamic Query in a Stored Procedure

I'm working on a web page that allows searching by date and by a specific parameter which also has an option to select whether to display records with complete data, with discrepancies, or those with no data but id.

I thought of having the conditions to be selected in the stored procedure based on the selected option passed as parameters. At first I thought of creating the query on code behind but I challenged myself to try it on stored procedures. A dynamic query is what I needed. I found a very useful information from this site with regards to creating a dynamic query.

The example is quite simple. It doesn't deal with queries containing quotes ('). I had an idea after reading this post.

As I try to save the stored procedure, I receive an error message that the select string I created cannot be converted into varchar. I had a hard time figuring out why I receive the error message until I finally figured out that i have to convert the parameter's result to varchar which is initialized as int. The solution is something like this: cast(@parameter as varchar(5)).

I shouldn't be in front of the PC right now, its just that I can't help but share these quotes from the first few pages of the book Stress Free Life (from my bf) I've been reading this morning:

  • How much do we lose out on the little joys of life when we cannot walk, talk, think or listen slowly?

  • A handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains. He that can have patience can have what he wills. - Benjamin Franklin

  • Anger controlled can move the world.

  • You must connect yourself to God -- the source of the highest, purest and best energy in the Universe. Then you will not have to be pushed from outside. No one will have to wind you, or give you a boost. You will draw all the energy and wisdom of the Universe through your connection with God, and nothing can stop you!

Looking forward to read more as I take a rest (sick) and hopefully be back to work.

I just have somethings to share. *toinks*

At home...

So much for thinking bout spending.. Its so hard to manage everything when it comes to spending money.
"I hate this part right here.."
Granpa was a victim of heat stroke. At times like this I'm always in charge of withdrawing, counting, and auditing for my Tita.
My mom was suspected to be suffering from ulcer. Gave her some of my earnings for her check-up and medicines.

Very good job for me.. I just wanna sleep during Sundays (day-off) to relax, or spend time with my well-functioning desktop computer playing Plants vs. Zombies or play with the apps I usually play in the office.

Reading the magazine I bought would be the last thing in my list though I've been thinking of reading it while i was doing all the stuff I mentioned and I were about to mention.

Grooming myself would be very optional for me at the moment.

Playing with the cats and seeing my grandmother happy is the most rewarding of all.

In the office...

Done with the stuff assigned to me, waiting for feedback or another revision.
Got nothing to do at the moment. Yet I'm very excited for my next assignment.
Got stomach aches with dysmenorrhea on the side.
"Ayaw ko na ata magbaon...", result of having the same menu everyday, not to mention SPAM..

The past...

Caught in a bad romance..
Had so much fun from our Cagbalete trip and Synergy session.
Got my last pay.
Got over with what I can't have.

What I wanna do..

Read "Who moved My Cheese?" and the magazine I bought last weekend.
Have another bite of Picole ice cream..
Spend some time with my guy..
Encourage Joan to withdraw everything from her bank account to start an online business. :)
Hear from Nhel soon regarding his plans for starting a band.

Haha! Next time nalang.. :)

Welcome back to blogging! -msg from LJ

Arrived in the office at 9:16:08AM.. considered 16mins 'LATE'!

I accepted the fact that I am late but I can never consider being late because of delays caused by people who does not follow directions.

Obtaining the pass shouldn't be that hard for EMPLOYEES like us if only VISITORS tried, at least tried, to follow instructions and fall in line with the others in the VISITORS LANE.

I kept on thinking who should be responsible or who we should blame in this situation.

Is it the VISITORS (comprised of those who are asked of coordination from the respective company they wish to visit) or those assigned OFFICERS in those 'cubicles' to issue our precious pass?

At first I used to put the blame on the VISITORS, it seems as if they don't understand the sign on the glass window of each 'cubicle'... It pisses me when I was almost there, with all the sweat, to claim my pass but right in front of me was a visitor being instructed by the officer to call their contact to ask for coordination after checking their bulky collection of coordination from respective companies.

I don't like the idea since after seeing those computers in front of them I assume they have a computerized system and everything would be of ease.....
As I started turning on my computer and continuously being bugged by my misfortune, I had a second thought on who to blame...

Why did the OFFICERS let those visitors transact on that window? What's the point of posting that on the glass window (for us to see, read, and UNDERSTAND) if they will not be able to implement the 'rule' they posted?

Maybe both are to blame... One should do the right action to correct or guide the other.

Oh well..... I ended up thinking, 'I guess I should have left the house earlier..'
